Details: Our reversible and universal, heavy-gauge, stainless steel entrance have a unique sliding design so they adjust to fit both 8 frames, 10 frame beehives, flow hives, layers, and Warre hives. Foxhound Bee Company designed this reducer to meet the needs of our customers and our bees. Designed using the research from Tom Seeley, the entrance size is what bees naturally prefer. When using either an 8 or 10 frame hive, the entrance works perfect with ideal entrance that honeybees prefer. The reverse side of the reducer can be used as a moving screen, allowing beekeepers to close the entrance while still allowing airflow when moving a colony. Entrance reducers can also be used with an entrance feeder and be adjust to meet the needs of the colony, reducing and expanding the reducer as needed. The guard can easily be attached to the bottom board with a nail or screw through a predrilled hole or simply held in place by 2 small weights.
